Global InsurTech Alliance

Global InsurTech Alliance (GITA), further expands its global reach bringing new opportunities for Irish Insurance sector companies to tap into the global InsurTech movement

InsurTech Ireland are pleased to announce our affiliation with the Global InsurTech Alliance (GITA), connecting local InsurTech communities into a global network.

Along with InsurTech Ireland, the addition of the Swiss Finance and Technology Association and the InsurTech Hub Munich brings the international membership to seven, joining InsurTech Australia, InsTech London, FinTech New Zealand and InsurTech Asia.

Robin Merttens from InsTech London noted, “The Global InsurTech Alliance are continuing discussions with other potential new members and remain fully committed to further expansion so would love to hear from other InsurTech organisations or even from people in places with no InsurTech community who are interested in forming one there. We are also looking for sponsors to help us build out the infrastructure we will need to support the Alliance”.

Gerard de Vere of InsurTech Ireland commented, “This is a really exciting time for InsurTech globally with incumbents and start-ups combining to significantly change the industry for the better. InsurTech Ireland events provide insights into leading edge technologies and help insurance business leaders to understand where these technologies can create real value. Formal affiliation with the alliance greatly increases the scope of this understanding and we look forward to supporting international companies already based in Ireland along with others considering Ireland as a location for future insurance and technology initiatives.”
